I'm Trying

I'm trying to find my voice.
Why is it so easy for me to have my voice when I am talking but then when I sit down at the computer I am not be able to say what I want to say.
Why do I feel lost?
What is it I want to say?
Why can I engage with anyone in conversation about almost any subject in the world and hold up my end of the conversation fine?
Why is it when I come to put my thoughts on this blog I feel I can't hold up my end of the deal?

So now I guess you could consider this blog under construction. No I am not leaving. No I am not giving up or quitting. Anyone who really knows me knows that those are not words that I have in my vocabulary. I am a work in progress. I am in this for the long haul. I have personal goals that I would like to achieve. So I will push on in hopes that my true voice will come through the more I write.

"Take the first step, and your mind will mobilize all its forces to your aid. But the first essential is that you begin. Once the battle is started, all that is within and without you will come to your assistance."

I love your blog! It always makes me smile. Don't worry, you will find your voice. You are one of the best conversationalists I've met online.. wait is it a conversation if it's on the Web?!?!?!? LOL

Your blog is awesome. I love that you express you're struggling with putting thought down for the rest of us to read.
I had major mind block over the summer when I was under great emotional strain.
Sometimes the best thoughts come to me when I've shut down the pc and crawled into bed. THEN, my brain kicks in and becomes creative. UGH!

Never worry that you can't find your voice. This blog is YOURS. The pieces of your life that you share with us through it just reinforce who I believe you to be.

No matter what your write or how you write... that IS your voice hon.

(OMG WTF is UP with these captcha words today... binge... Someone is trying to tell me something)

I betcha the problem isn't your voice, but getting into the habit of doing it. Regular blogging has to be a real drain while you have family, friend, and job responsibilities.

Don't stress, just let it flow as the mood dictates. We love your thoughts, and will wait patiently for you to share them.

The wonderful thing about blogging is... it's YOUR realm. I go months without having anything to say and then all of a sudden I'm a blogging maniac. Relax. Your friends will always be here to read your words and understand when you have nothing other to say than quiet contemplation.

A net without Topsurf would be a very lonely net indeed...

I agree with what everyone is saying. They are right. It is nothing to stress over. Relax and write whenever the mood strikes. You don't have to post daily. Maybe, start posting once a week? You can always post more if you feel like it. We love you and your blog. We would enjoy even reading just one brief paragraph if that is all you had to write. You aren't obligated to us. Do your own thing, Woman♥ (((hugs)))

Well dang woman.

First of all, as you can tell by reading my blog, I do not think every blog needs to be full of knowledge. Sometimes rambling on can allow others to see who you are just as much as a well-constructed post can ...

And, I think that sometimes a short note is also a quick way to say, "I am here, I am thinking of all of you, I just don't have a lot to say today."

I went a couple of months without blogging this year, and I only started blogging in February (I think) in the first place. So, take your time ... do what you will. It is YOUR space ... use it however you want.

We love you regardless.

Oh - what first struck me about your post is that you and I are polar opposites - I have a hard time striking up conversations with strangers face-to-face. Online? Throw em at me, I'll talk up a storm!!

Other than being able to converse freely with strangers, I am pretty much exactly the same in person and online.
